Welcome to WebRogue, an immersive roguelike adventure where you delve deep into the ever-changing dungeons beneath the virtual world. Your ultimate goal is to retrieve the fabled WebSim Core on floor 35 or collect all the WebSim Shards from powerful named enemies scattered throughout the dungeon.

In a world where the boundaries between reality and simulation blur, the WebSim Core lies at the heart of all virtual experiences. Recently, the Core has been corrupted by malevolent entities, causing anomalies and bringing forth dangerous creatures. As a skilled adventurer, you have been tasked to descend through treacherous depths, face formidable foes, and restore balance by retrieving the Core or gathering its scattered Shards.
Enemies
The dungeon is inhabited by a variety of enemies, each with unique behaviors and factions:
Rats (r): Scavengers attracted to debris and leftovers. Faction: Beasts.
Goblins (g): Pack creatures that become more dangerous in groups and may become enraged if their leader is defeated. Faction: Goblinoids.
Orcs (o): Stronger pack enemies that coordinate attacks. Faction: Goblinoids.
Cultists (c): Worshippers of the Eldritch Horror, often found performing dark rituals. Faction: Cultists.
Tentacles (t): Lurkers that attack unsuspecting adventurers who come too close. Faction: Eldritch.
Eldritch Horrors (E): Powerful beings with unpredictable behaviors. Faction: Eldritch.
Cats (C) and Dogs (D): Hunters that prey on smaller creatures but may also attack you if provoked. Faction: Beasts.
Villagers (V): Neutral beings that may help or hinder your progress. Faction: Humanoids.
Beetles (b) and Spiders (s): Debris eaters and hunters that can swarm unprepared adventurers. Faction: Insects.
Golems (G): Mighty destroyers capable of breaking through walls and obstacles. Faction: Constructs.
Named Enemies: Unique foes with special abilities and increased stats. Defeating them grants you WebSim Shards.
Rob/Haisfield (R): The final boss guarding the WebSim Core, capable of summoning named enemies to his aid. Faction: Bosses.
Enemy Behaviors
Enemies exhibit advanced AI behaviors such as:
Pack Tactics: Some enemies coordinate and become more dangerous in groups.
Emotional Responses: Enemies may become enraged or frightened based on your actions, affecting their behavior.
Pathfinding: Enemies can navigate the dungeon, avoid obstacles, and pursue you relentlessly.
Destruction: Certain enemies can destroy walls and obstacles to reach you.
Factions and Infighting: Enemies belong to factions and may fight each other if factions are hostile.
Itemization
Throughout your journey, you can find and use various items:
Weapons: Equip weapons to increase your attack power. Some may have special bonuses.
Armor: Equip armor to enhance your defense against enemy attacks.
Potions: Consumables that grant positive or negative status effects. Effects include strength boosts, regeneration, or even poison.
Food: Consuming food restores your health.
WebSim Shards: Collect these from named enemies to achieve one of the game's victory conditions.

Procedurally Generated Dungeons: Each playthrough offers a unique dungeon layout with various room types and obstacles.
Destructible Environments: Walls and props can be destroyed, altering the dungeon's layout.
Status Effects: Manage positive and negative effects that impact your stats and abilities.
